Reinforced MacMat is a geosynthetic composite material consisting of a MacMat combined with double-twisted hexagonal steel wire mesh, thereby integrating the MacMat’s exceptional erosion-resistance properties with the outstanding strength characteristics of the wire mesh. The incorporation of various types of reinforcement imparts additional and specialized performance capabilities. Consequently, this composite material exhibits exceptionally high tensile strength and rigidity—particularly when utilized in conjunction with soil nailing systems—enabling it to effectively fulfill a wide array of multifunctional requirements.
For projects that require additional structural support, MacMat combines the geomat structure with a reinforcement layer, available in double-twisted steel mesh or synthetic geogrid.
